Agent Preview pages are now published for six Coachella Valley merchant categories, 1,362 of them listed for search engines and AI crawlers to find. An audit run after publication found pages that had measured a web address the business does not control and described it as their website — 16 of which had been wrong since the day their category shipped. The audit's own record states its count is a floor, not a total.
The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership filed Chapter 7 in March 2026 and the case closed in May. As of July 31, a chamber of commerce member listing, a LinkedIn company page, and a health district partner page still presented it as a going concern — a different failure from measured business-data drift, and one an AI agent has no independent way to detect.
On July 30, 2026, AICV closed the path from a public, measured Agent Preview page to a $500 activation, an instant private readiness review, owner verification, and a page that flips Live — proven with a real transaction. At the same time, Stripe shipped agent payment rails whose own preparation guide puts visibility before payments.
